Little Buds is a fun and friendly Nursery in the Heart of Hackney.

 

Choosing the right Nursery School for your child is one of the most important decisions you will take during the first few years of your child’s life.

Settling in at Little Buds

Going to Nursery and being apart from parents is a big step for small children. We take great care to help your child settle in. As each child has different needs, we will adapt our practices to fit in with those needs. This might mean gradually easing the child into Nursery routine with a parent staying for a little while to help the child settle. It might mean….. 

 

Stable relationships

Those first relationships your child develops are so important. We will help your child to learn the importance of sharing and taking turns. We will teach how to deal with conflict and disagreement using words, and how to handle emotions. 

Children value continuity in a relationship with staff paricularly the key worker assigned to them. Most of our staff have been with us since we opened. We are a small nursery but still manage a good staff to child ratio. 

Each child has a key worker assigned to them with the responsibility of making sure that your child eaches its developmental goals both in the Nursery setting and with the home. 

 

Focus on Play

Children of this age learn best through play. Play supports social, emotional cognitive and physical development, and we ensure that their play is clearly focused upon developmental goals while remaining fun and stimulating. 

Communication and language 

Communication is one of the areas in which we are particularly strong. 

Our staff are trained in the use of phonics, and we stress the importance of using langauge to express ourselves. Your child will learn how to express emotion though words and body movements. 

 

two year and three year funding

Little Buds accepts children on both the two year and three year funding schemes. 

Our Fees

Our fees include all of our activities including lunch and snacks with the exception of swimming. 

From time to time we organise swimming lessons at Hackney Baths and the cost for this is passed onto parents
